Good quality food and service. Wish there were more items in the menu, but for a tourist it made it easier and efficient to order. Should book in advance. The place was beautiful and cozy. Not a huge selection of wines but they are reasonably priced and go well with the menu.
We had good food and pleasant service here when visiting the Versailles gardens. We ordered the chilled cucumber and watermelon soup, roasted guinea fowl breast, early vegetables and fruits, dolce forte sauce, salad of curled endives, vegetable shavings, bacon and Barolo vinaigrette, croque monsieur - hot sandwich of ham and cheese, and a cappuccino. Everything was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The only note, was that the floor guy at base of the elevator of the main floor outside was a little condescending, but the restaurant staff were very nice.
A more upscale dining option - convenient for dining while visiting the Palais of Versailles. Our mains took a really long time to arrive (>30mins after we were done with our starters?) and the chicken breast was really dry/overdone (we didn’t return it as we didn’t want to wait any longer). The steak tartare was a great choice served with some greens and crispy fries. They mention we could have supplement 10euro for the tenderloin and also any of the ala cart options were available as rôst. Service is decent and they recommended good wines
Reserved a 9am breakfast for 3 people in advance - very easy via their website. We arrived a few minutes late due to changes to the RER C train lines from Paris but were still greeted so nicely upon arrival by the hostess who confirmed our reservation and directed us upstairs to the dining room to be seated. We all had the "Le Grand Lever" for 45 euros per person which includes entrance to the Palace of Versailles. Everything was delicious. Note that the hot chocolate is very thick - it tasted/felt like straight up melted chocolate with a bit of cream - this is excellent for chocolate lovers. Once we were finished and settled the bill, we were given our Palace tickets and instructed where to go. It was a side entrance on the ground floor that got us right to the security screening, took no longer than 5 minutes to go through. I highly recommend this as a more relaxing and stress-less way to visit the Palace, since you will need to fuel up anyway if you're planning to tour the Palace and grounds. Thank you and merci beaucoup to everyone at Ore!
I had a good experience at the Ore - Palace of Versailles. The filet mignon was cooked rare, as I ordered it medium-rare. (Cooking preferences vary from country to country.)
What I really liked about this restaurant is service staff are all friendly and nice except the one on the ground floor informing us to go up.
I had been so disappointed about the normal service staff being so cold and sometimes very rude in Paris, so I was very comfortable here.
The food was normal but the atmosphere being inside of the Chateau de Versailles is special.
The soufflé is the one that you should really try, which is tasty and amusing !
The price of wine starts from €7、by the glass, so it’s affordable compared to other famous restaurants.
This kind of someone -very famous -producing restaurants are sometimes disappointing, and I was not expecting that this restaurant is very good.
But the service which the service staff give us made me feel comfortable and warm inside.
The choice of the staff members might be successful.
thank you.
Staff were fantastic and expanding everything.
Food was delicious and the scrambled eggs were spot on and just right.
The tea and coffee options great and the juice was freshly made.
Everyone was very nice but not very attentive. After being seated it literally took forever to get water, and then again forever to juice or coffee and then again forever for them to ask for our order. And when I say forever. I mean I think …
